Hello Friends!! Happy Saturday to you all! Welcome to a new series on this blog. Couponing has become BIG in the last few years and I am trying to catch up. Thanks to the many many emails and questions that many of you are trying to figure it all out too and have become inspired to save as much as you can at the store.
So.. we are going to start off with how to organize your coupons. If you are not sure where to get the coupons you can always check out my Where to find the savings Page but basically you get coupons from Sunday Papers, Online printable coupons, you can get them off products, All you magazine, etc..and lets not forget google!

There are lots of ways to store your coupons.
You could simply use
if you are just starting and put write the description on the front.
You could use a small
accordion file that you can label.
You can use my old method that I showed you in this video..
and also in this video..
but I am changing the system again to a more organized way to really save when shopping for food our household items!
Last night I took the daunting task of switching over my coupon storage from the hat box, my accordion file to a new binder. My sister in law Trina.. had this binder mostly put together for me already. She gave it to me on our last trip to Indiana and I am just getting to it. But its super EXCITING because I think I am going to really save more money than ever at the store.
Here is what I am doing now..
I do think at this point, I will have to buy a better binder and dividers.. so when I can catch some school supply sales I will move it all over. As you can I see my sister in law printed out the the krazy coupon lady system and it does work really well. I am not sure if I will continue to use it or not - really all you need to do is figure out what categories your will need and get dividers. So you will need
Also I recommend having.....
Hole punch
Scissors
Thin Sharpe marker
Printer ( library printer will also work )

I also recommend getting the store policy's for where you want to shop printed out and added to the binder so you have them on hand if you need them. Make sure to really read through them so you understand their policy because every store is different.
As you can see the kitty's were more than helpful last night when I was trying to get this started!

So for now, I have each category printed off ( thank you Trina ) from the the krazy coupon lady but I might end up changing this. I will do another post for you later if I do change it. The only difference would be that I would just use dividers and not her sheets. If you are new to couponing this is a great way to organize all those coupons.
After each page divider I have 2 plastic sheets..
the baseball card holders and then another
larger pocket plastic sheet. I will add more as I need them.
When I was going through all my coupons I was shocked at how many had expired. So clearly my previous system did not work that great for me.
This new system already feels so much better an organized. Its clean and efficient and should help in saving lots of $ in the future.
In the next video/post I will actually be going through the different categories in the binder with a few more tips on where to get the coupons.
So come back or sign up by email so you don't miss it!
It should be up by the middle of next week! In the mean time, if you are following along figure out which way you want to organize your coupons!! There are plenty of ways to do it!! I really think the binder is going to go really well and if you are wanting to do that method.. get out and get your supplies!
Happy Couponing!
