Scott and I have been together for close to 9 years now.. and its truly been one of the most beautiful relationships I have ever been in. In the beginning we traveled around the US together for a couple of years.. then we decided to grow up and settle down together in one spot. That one spot has changed a few times through out the years but we have kept our relationship alive through
love and understanding
There has been many bumps along the way but together we faced every challange that has came our way. We not only learned from it but we both grew at individuals and as a couple. I think that is the main thing we all need to do in relationships..
At the start of our love affair, we decided to put our love first and the world second. That plan really worked because we focused on each other so much. There was no hanging on the internet nightly.. No blogging.. No ipads.. Nothing that distracted us from each other. The first couple of years while we were traveling.. we didn't have the kids either. While it was sad not seeing them as much but it was probably one of the smartest things we could do for our relationship. We really got to know each other and figure out how to live together. Its not easy when you merge lives together and trying to find balance is next to impossible the first year or so. Our love plan worked out.. because now we have a wonderful life and home full of memories that was built on the foundation we worked so hard on.
There is nothing that doesn't know about me and I feel I know him better than anyone else on this planet. We can look at each other from across the room and know what each other is thinking. Again.. created from the trust and love built from the foundation in the beginning.
We were both in terrible marriages before we found each other and the wisdom that came from those relationships certainly taught us a lot about building a good foundation to build a good marriage. I think we both learned from those marriage/divorces. Neither of us set up that foundation with the other people and they failed really fast. When you don't take the time to really get to know the person who you are going to marry.. bad things happen.
Also in my past relationships.. I didn't put a lot of prayer in them. Nope.. but now I totally realize that I will take all the help I can get! I thought that I would share this amazing prayer that would be great for your husband but for you too!
Every night I say my prayers where I ask God for the help to keep this marriage strong and I personally feel like we have a protective cloud around us. Don't get me wrong.. we still have fights.. he hurts my feelings at times just as I have hurt his but we are strong and we haven't had to deal with a lot of the serious issues other couples have faced. I do believe that is God watching out for us.
My husband is the love of my life. There are so many reasons that I love him..here's just a few..
1.The way he leads our family to a better life.
2.How he is around the kids.
3.His integrity and morals.
4. How he has an interest or can be interested in anything.
5.His contagious smile.
6.The way he makes me laugh.
7.His diligence, perseverance, and faithfulness.
8.The way he enjoys my cooking and always bragging about it!
9.His sweet and crazy ( at times! ) spirit!
10.How he's always holding my hand.
11.The security and safety he provide to me and our children.

11. His joy.
12.His tender heart.
13.His contagious excitement for life.
14. How he says "I love you" every time.
15. How he figures out the hard stuff that I can't.
16. That when I ask him something healmost always know the answer - and when he doesn't.. he figures it out for me.
17. His ability to get along with absolutely everyone.
18. His hands.
19. His work ethic...which is crazy good!
The priceless love and friendship that you bring to this marriage every single day.
