Its been really busy around here with me cleaning up the house and trying to get everything ready for mom and Brittany to show up. I had a very fast trip to the market today... I didn't need much but here's the haul!
Happy Thursday Friends! Today is the day that Brittany and mom get here...Well, its really tonight but its totally exciting to have them here. I love summer when all the kids are here playing and laughing. Its wonderful. We always have such a good time and I am excited summer is here! I am pretty much excited about everything.. the kids, mom, moving, summer.. all of it! (:
So today I am going to focus on cleaning and forget about the packing for a couple of days. I don't think the house will be perfect for mom and Brittany but it does need cleaned up a bit. Thankfully I have till about 7pm to get things done before we head to the airport. And then tomorrow night we leave for Louisiana to get Zane. See.. BUSY BUSY!
I hope you guys have a good day. I will be back later when I can.. but I have to get motivated to get things done first!
Hi Late Night Friends! I guess you can tell it was a busy day for me with NO BLOG POSTS! I had one reader send in an email about 8pm wondering if I was ok! Seriously you guys.. You are the best readers a girl could ask for! (: Everything was good today.. I just stayed busy doing lots of stuff around the house including packing and cleaning. No so much fun but I got a lot done! I still have more to do tomorrow. Mom and Brittany are flying in about 9pm so I have to get things ready for both of them! I am so excited to be getting both my mom and my daughter tomorrow! Summer is here and I am super super super happy about it. In the evening hours I asked my mom who is in Indiana to stop by and give someone in our family a card because their birthday is right around the corner. Well, both Brittany and mom went with the cards in hand and basically was turned away. Mom handled it much better than I would have because I would broke down the damn door and pulled them out. I don't really understand what the problem was but I don't even care. Its petty.. and its stupid on their part because they have a HUGE LOVING FAMILY and are truly missing out. I honestly think the dark forces have took over and who knows what this person has told by others and such. It actually bothered Brittany more than my mom. She couldn't understand what she did wrong. She said she was mistreated a lot by this person in the past and she forgave them but she just couldn't make sense of being treated that way. Thank God for the heart that my daughter has. She is so loving and kind but I just explained that this person has mental issues and she already knew that. Its not easy teaching rejection to a 11 year old but life doesn't always happen the way we want it. What was really touching was when she said " I am going to pray for him mom. " How precious is that? My mom said, she felt good that she was able to see them for a second and hopes in the future things will work out with this family member. Honestly, we are not the ones who have pushed them away. Nope. Its the people that surrounds him that have done the pushing and influencing. I think it was almost funny when my mom was told that this person heard a voicemail she left and that's the reason they were so upset. I think thats laughable being I know many things they have done worse than a bitchy voice mail. That's just an excuse for disrespectful rude behavior. Period. We have been here with an open heart and open doors for years now and while we can offer... we can't drag them through it. So I am glad mom and Brittany went. And I hope that it works out in time and if it doesn't then that is the way its suppose to be and we accept it. But thank you mom and Brittany. I love you guys and mom.. I appreciate everything you do. I am so excited to have you guys coming tomorrow! Woooooooo-hooooooo! Scott is excited too.
So tomorrow I have to finish cleaning and run a bunch of errands. Another busy day for me. I will try to blog a little but today I just got busy and said screw it! But I guess I should have jumped on here to just say hi so everyone knew I was ok! Its going to be really busy until at least Monday. Mom will be here until next Thursday..but I will still be packing and getting ready to move. So bare with me while we make some big changes!
Hope you had a great day and I will be back tomorrow.. I promise!
Its been another long day for me. This is the first thing I heard and saw this morning! Isn't he precious!? He woke me up about 7am but I dozed back off for 20-30 minutes before it was time to get up and take Jackson to school. I hate hate hate hearing all my friends are sleeping in because school is out for their kids but Jackson still has to go. BUT.. It's the reverse when school starts back up. I have a couple extra weeks to sleep in when they are having to get up early! (: I worked so hard yesterday that today I didn't stay up and pack. Instead I came right back home and went to sleep for a couple more hours just so I would feel better through out the day.
Happy Tuesday Friends! I hope you are having a great day. Last night I was so tired from all the packing that I didn't even think about opening my laptop. I don't think I made it upstairs until after 12am. I was going to continue packing up on the second floor for a couple hours but I just couldn't do it. My feet were killing me. Oddly enough, I didn't take a relaxing hot bath.. instead I stood in the shower trying to hurry...feet hurting even worse..and then I collapsed in bed and was asleep minutes later. And then I had to get up and get little Jackson to school early this morning. And do you think I came back home and started packing again!? HELL NO. I took myself right back upstairs to my bed and went right back to sleep. I forgot about something.. Jackson's last day of school is the 10th so we can't move until he's done. Wow.. I didn't even factor that in at first!! So I will also have a few days after we get back to pack up the house even more. Yesterday I packed up the kitchen except 6 plates..6 bowls..and 6 cups! I did leave the pan cabinet so we can still cook if we want but I did so much yesterday that today has to be a little easier. It felt good sleeping until noon but all the animals were driving me crazy wanting me to get up and feed them breakfast. They had the crunchy stuff instead because I was sleeeeping!
I think today I am going to be packing up a lot of the bathrooms and then start cleaning a little more because mom and Brittany will be here in just a couple of days! I am super excited! (: I hate they are going to be in the middle of the moving mess but its ok.. I don't think they will really care.
Well I am going to get dressed and motivated because I have a long day ahead of me. Scott won't be home until at least 815-830 so lots of time to myself today.
I am back today with part 2 of the HUGE CVS HAUL! This part is the clearance items I picked up. Be sure to go check out your local CVS Stores because they are having a big clearance sale. The new items that are in the displays will eventually have to go onto the walls... so they are cleaning house! You just have to go in and see what they have stickered down. I found many items at 75% off and 50% off including many Revlon, Almay, and Maybelline Products. Do miss out!
Happy Memorial Day to you all. I know many of you are going to fire up the gills today..and have a good time with your family and friends but take a moment to say thank you.. even if it's just in your prayers for all the men and woman who have given the ultimate sacrifice to our our Country. My grandfather aka...my dad, my brother, my husband, his brother and his son are all military men who have served this country with honor and pride. I think one of the hardest things about moving out of Indiana is not being able to visit/decorate the graves of my family on this day.. and many other days. But I know they are not there...my family lives inside me.. and a flag on a head stone is not going to bring us any closer. But I do wish I was there today so I could go honor both my grandfather and brother. I think in our new house, I am going to set up a small memorial and candles for them. I have been wanting to do it for a while now and I have just not done it...But maybe it's time when we get moved.
Speaking of moving, I have been packing up like a wild woman. I have even more to do today. I think I will work under the bathroom sinks and maybe get started packing up some of the kitchen. The more I get done now....the more time I will have with the kids this weekend. I can't believe that Sunday night we will have all the little kids here. I wish we could get the big kids here too but we will as soon as we get moved! Last night I packed and packed and even got a big pile of clothes ready that I am going to donate. Its amazing how many articles of clothing I had that I never wear. I am not taking shit we don't use to the new house.. none of it. Instead, I would rather haul all of it to the dump and be done. I don't want all that clutter!
Brittany is hanging out with my mom today. Its so cute to hear them together. They 2 peas in a pod!! Brittany seems to be in a good mood and they are visiting family they haven't seen in a long time. Its good for Brittany to see a lot of my moms side of the family when she can. I am not up there enough to take her all around so mom does it for me when she can! They need to get all their running done because THEY WILL BE HERE ON THURSDAY! Can you tell that I am excited!? ((((: Also my oldest son turns 17 on Friday. Wow.. Time has really flew by. I wish we talked more. Hopefully in the years to come, that will change. ♥
I have a video coming up today...Part 2 of the big CVS Haul.. If you didn't see the first one, you can click here!!! There are so many new and interesting 2013 products just landing on the shelves! I am also going to be working on a few videos today and tomorrow that will just pop up when we are traveling over the weekend. We won't be gone long though! We will leave Friday night and be back Sunday night. Then its time to MOOOOOOVE!!!!
I hope you guys have a great day! Husby had to work today...which I didn't like but I will do more packing if he's not here!
Hello! Today I am excited to be sharing some of the new products I found at my local CVS. I actually bought a lot of new items and a lot of clearance items so I am breaking up the haul into 2 different parts. In the first part is all the new spring 2013 products!
Hope you enjoy! You can find more pictures of the displays below!
Happy Sunday Friends! I am just waking up and starting my day. I don't understand a Sunday where you can't sleep in and enjoy yourself! My mom kept calling from about 10am on.. finally when I answered the phone, I said it better be very important if you are waking me up early on a Sunday. Come to find out, she was at the airport getting ready to fly to Indiana! Yep...good reason for waking me up! She knows, I always want to talk to her and tell her that I love her before she ever gets on any plane. Be safe mom!!!
No one around our house today is in any kind of hurry. Scott just got up and hopped in the shower and Jackson is laying in my bed dozing on and off watching cartoons! We don't have any big plans for today or even tomorrow. Husby has to work on Memorial Day but Jackson and I will be here waiting on him to get home! I packed up a lot of my makeup and bedroom last night! I am going to get as much packed as I can before we leave for New Orleans on Friday.
I have some videos that will be popping up in just a bit so stay tuned!
Scott did it.. He had his mind set on this house and we got it!!! We will be moving as soon as we get back from Louisiana! I'm serious.. the day we are leaving town ( this next Friday ) will be when we can probably move in.. but we have to do our weekend trip to Louisiana and then come back to pack this house up and move. I can't wait!
Here's the video of the house... and there are some additional pictures and info below!
This steak and lobster dinner couldn't get any easier. It looked like it was about to rain so I decided to cook the steaks inside on the indoor grill but they would be even better if cooked on the charcoal grill!
The video below has all the details!
My husband loved this meal.. and it was so simple to make! We did melt some butter to dip the lobster in too.
Afternoon friends...its a lazy start to the day for me. I loooooooooooved waking up to no alarm clock. The kitty did jump on me like I was his personal bouncy house but after his 30 minute burst of energy.. he snuggled up to me and fell to sleep...allowing me to go back to sleep. I didn't hear any damn dogs this morning either..thank goodness. Jackson got up a little late too and stayed quiet till I got up. And I don't have to get up at any particular time until next Tuesday! (: Gotta love that!
Today should be pretty easy. I am thinking I will clean up the house a little bit.. clean myself up some and then make some videos. The haul that is coming up is really big so I think I am going to break it down in 2 different parts and I doubt I will do pictures until I review the products because again.. I did some serious shopping and I just don't have the time to do photos and a video. I have so many videos coming up!!
- Easy Steak and Lobster Dinner -
- Olay Pro X Cleaning System Review -
- BIG, HUGE CVS haul.. most likely will break it up in 2 parts. -

So lots of videos coming up. However, I can't imagine it will be easy finding a quite moment to video when we have a house full of kids in the next couple of weeks. I can't believe that Mom and Brittany will be here next Thursday! And then next Friday we leave for New Orleans. WOW.. Summer is here huh!? I can't believe it! And that also means that its getting closer and closer to move out day! I am super happy to be getting out of this house and out of this city. I have waited a couple of years for this move and now that its here.. my ass is totally unprepared. Gotta fix that!
Well I am going to clean up and get a few things done! I hope you have a wonderful weekend!
It was another sad but happy goodbye Thursday. We found an amazing home for this quiet female kitten. She went with Mr. and Mrs. Wedding. They actually called yesterday and said the kitten was hiding a lot so we told them to get her and put her in a small space such as a bathroom with her food and litter for a few days. Well they did that.. and this morning they said " she was a totally different cat. " They even had her a plate made at breakfast with a little egg, toast and jelly! Ha! The kitten was just scared and tired. But she is fitting right into her new family well today. I don't think she understands how good her life is going to be. No kids chasing her around. Very wealthy owners who intend on spoiling her rotten! When their last cat died they had it cremated and had a professional headstone made for it and it sits in the east part of the yard. Yea.. they will take very good care of them. The wife is starting to deal with memory problems but I think the kitten will help her. Studys have shown people who have Alzheimer's disease and dementia do better with pets. So I hope she helps her too. They were so happy this morning when I called to check on the kitty.. see, this is why I do it. Its so rewarding to share something I love so much with another person. I don't just sell the kittens to anyone can afford it.. I truly seek out the best home possible for each one of them. And I couldn't be happier where this one ended up! And I think they are going to name her Precious. That's funny because I named my first cat Precious myself.. and I think it would be perfect for this kitty too! (:
Only one left.. and I don't really want to sell him.. so who knows!
Happy Friday Friends. I am so glad we are almost to the weekend! I am linking back up today with My Little Life for five question friday!
Hope you enjoy!
1. Do you wake before the
alarm or stay in bed until the last possible second?
99% of the time, I stay in bed till the last minute. I seem to sleep better during the morning hours than the night hours..and its hard to pull myself out of my comfy bed!
2. Who should get a baby shower? Is it just the first
baby or all babies?
Wow.. that's not an easy one but I raised where you get 1 shower per child. I did register with all the kids because family and friends still wanted to get gifts but I didn't do the party except for my first son. I kinda think having a party for each child would be fair...but I kinda think its a little much. I like the idea of a welcome home party for each new baby.. and that way, people can bring gifts if they want.. and you still get the party!
Happy Friday Friends! I had some errands and shopping today. This is just the food part and I will get my HUGE HUGE HUGE CVS haul up this weekend! I am super happy to be back home and in comfy clothes. Actually I am sleepy right now. So its either going to be a cup of coffee that wakes me up or a quick power nap! Not sure which!
Dear Self, Sleeping in today was really good for your mind, body, and soul. Next up...try to get into some kind of yoga routine!
Dear Mr. Wedding, I am so happy the kitty is doing well today. We really enjoyed meeting and spending time with you and wife yesterday. Thank you so much for touching our hearts so much!
Dear Brittany, You better get that room cleaned up. You have 6 days to go before you get on that plane! You know how much I love you but you have to start to pick up a little better after yourself. Not just as your dads either.
Dear Scott, I had a great time with you yesterday. However, by the end of the night...I was so tired and grumpy! Thank you for a great day!
What a looooong day. We left the house at 11am and it just feels like things are back to normal! Well.. I am in bed that is...which feels very good to me...and I am sure it feels good to husby too.
So we went and met this very nice elderly couple. There secretary....and yes, they have a lot of help..told us about the wife have Alzheimer's.. and the husband wasn't in that good of shape after he had a nasty fall down the steps. Well, they were so sweet and nice. They did buy a kitten.. and we ended up spending over 2 hours with them..we really enjoyed being there. I asked to go to the bathroom and his wife walked me around the house 3 times before she remembered where it was. It was kinda strange because I knew we were passing a bathroom but I didn't want to be rude and say something. Then on the 4th go around.. she held out her hand and said..." Here it is! " I acted like I hadn't seen it on the other 3 passes. She had on a ton of jewelry She had long pretty grey hair..a long black skirt and shirt on.. 2 broaches on her shirt.. 2 big beautiful gold and diamond necklaces...and gold and bracelets jingling around on her wrist. She was really pretty but it made me sad to know that her memory is slipping. However, her husband was sharp as a tact. We had a nice afternoon with them. The kitten really is for the wife. He thinks if she has something to care for and love on.. maybe it will help her in some way. They have no children or grand children and a big old grand house. I hope the baby brings her a lot of love and happiness.
Good Morning Friends! I don't have long to blog so I had better hurry! In just a little while Scott and I are heading south to take the kittens to show a new buyer! They are an elderly couple and want to see both kittens. And he was very forward in telling me that he is well off..his house takes up a block and he service personnel that are there from 7 to 7. WOW.. So I have to get cleaned up in a few minutes and head out. Its never easy saying goodbye to a kitten but I love making other people smile...and any time I put a kitten in someones arms, they always smile! I hope its a great day. I am also trying to get into the house today that I liked. Scott thinks we will get into the house he likes but I like the idea of having a back up. I finally put in the notice that we are moving and honestly, I don't think the owner liked it much! Hopefully all goes well with her but we are moving no matter what. Honestly, I should be getting boxes and packing things up but I have been pretty lazy about it. I think this weekend I am going to get started and use the dining room to store the boxes in. We have a lot of stuff and its going to take a while to get this place ready to move. And the little kids can help finish things up.
Its going to be a busy day for me with husby off work... I will be back when I can later this afternoon! I plan on taking the camera with me today and vloging our day...and I will hopefully have that up later tonight. I have LOTS of videos coming up.. I have a couple more hauls...and I have some really interesting reviews coming up too! And if you have a video suggestion.. you can always hop over to my Contact Page and fill out the simple form!

Happy Wednesday Friends! Time for another Wednesday Hodgepodge with Joyce from over at From this Side of the Pond! Hope you enjoy! (:
1. It's National Bike Week...do you own a bicycle? When did you last ride a bike?
I do own a bike! However I am not on it too often...yea, its just not my thing when I have a car that runs really well! I tend to ride more in the summer with the kids but only on days its not too hot!
2. What's something you learned in school that wasn't part of the curriculum?
I learned boys were a distraction and most of the time trouble!
3. What's a food you've never tried, but would like to try? What's a food you've tried, and will never try again?
There are a lot of international foods I would like to try and haven't... and I don't like olives at all and I don't need to try them again to know that!
4. Have you been more demanding on yourself lately or less? Why? Do you think that's a good trend?
Honestly, I have been less demanding on myself. I am addicted to court tv.. and the trial I have been watching is close to being over. I won't know what to do with all my free time! But I haven't been that motivated to do much. We are going to try to move by the middle of June so I have to get off my butt and get packing!
5. Who is your favorite book, movie, or TV show villain?
I had to think for a while about this one... and I kept coming back to Tony Soprano,The Sopranos.
That was such an amazing show and I keep hoping it comes back.. but I don't think it will. Husby does though!
6. How concerned are you about identity theft?
Well I think I have more debt than the average person and I don't think anyone wants to steal that! (: I don't worry that much about that. I only use my card on sites I trust and ( knock on wood ) nothing has happened. I feel safe most of the time and I think many of us worry about things that never happen. But you should try to protect yourself the best you can.
7. I saw this last question on Dawn's blog and asked if I could share. Everybody hop over and say hi, but first answer this...would you rather have an ordinary home in an extraordinary place or an extraordinary home in an ordinary place?
That's easy... I would rather have an ordinary home in an extraordinary place. Its amazing what the right location could do.
8. Insert your own random thought here.
I am tired this morning!!!! I woke up late, had to rush to get Jackson to school on time and I am thinking that I will lay back down and try to get some more sleep! Its cloudy and looks like rain so why not!? I just had trouble sleeping last night and if I want today to be good....I better get a few more hours in otherwise I will be tired and grumpy all day long! Hope you have a great Wednesday! K Jaggers ♥
