My 2 Favorite Veterans...Happy Veterans Day. ♥

Hello everyone. I hope you are having a wonderful night. I know this post is going live kinda late but I didn't want the day to end without posting about my 2 favorite Veterans in honor of Veterans Day. My grandfather Watteau was such a pride Marine. I use to listen to story after story about his time spent in the Korean War that forever changed his life. He was always quick to talk about his experiences but also to listen to any other Veteran or Military person. Think about it.. .he was in during the 50's.  You can clearly tell from the picture that it was a different time. But I think the experience was much of the same as our soldiers experience today. He also shared his experience with PTSD where he would have such nightmares that he should really shake the bed and even fall out sometimes. He shared his memories of the food in Korea, the children who died, and the brothers he lost. He was truly honored to be a Marine.

My brother Jeremy Watteau was also in the military in the 1990's. He didn't really share in the enthusiasm of the structured schedule but he did it. I think Jeremy always had pride that he was able to complete basic training without someone bringing him his coffee every morning in bed. :) Jeremy never saw a war. He was killed when he was 24 ( non military related ) but the pride alone from my grandfather regarding Jeremy joining the Military always showed through.

I am so proud of them for their love, courage, and dedication to their country. Both men made their marks on history and will never be forgotten as long as I have air in my lunges. I am also very honored for all the men and women who have served our country. We all raise you in our prayers and hold in our hearts.

Happy Veterans Day.
