Hello friends! Happy Friday to you all. :) I'll try to get another edition of Friday letters up a little later. I know many of my newer subscribers are new and not aware of all the videos and blog post that I have already put up. So in the video below I am sharing some blasts from the past! I am still working on the set up of this new monthly series so bare with me....I am still figuring out the format. Hope you enjoy!

I hope you enjoyed looking back. Like I mentioned above...I am still working on the format but I tried to share some videos that I hope you will check out! :) Here are all the videos and blog posts mentioned in the video.

DITL Vlog: Girls Only! Biltmore Day 3

Wednesday, July 29, 2015

Hello friends! Happy Happy Wednesday to you all. It's a beautiful day here.  I have been at the desk most of the afternoon trying to get things ready for back to school. It's been a day of making Eye Doctor, Dentist, Regular Doctor appointments for Jackson. Plus we have all the back to school shopping and back to school registration and such. It feels good to have all that done! Anyway, I am back sharing another little piece of my mini vacation with Brittany at Biltmore. It was such a lovely time! Here is day 3...hope you enjoy!

I know a lot of you thought that there was just not that much there to do but there really is. We could have spent a week there easily. It was just a wonderful time. Brittany really seemed to love it and finding something a soon to be 14 year old is happy with is not the easiest. But she loved it and so do I. :) Thanks for stopping by. ♥

Weekly Food Shopping Haul | Video |

Tuesday, July 28, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you are having a great night. I have been busy most of the day getting things done around here that needed cleaned up, organized, washed, put away...and so much more. Sorry for not getting around to posting this new video until now. I decided to take a break with the vlogs and share with you the meals we are having this week and share the food haul to go along with it. If you need some menu ideas or just want to see what we got, enjoy the video! :)

Thanks so much for stopping by. I would love to know when you shop. Are you a weekend grocery shopper, a weekday or nightly shopper? I try to get things done either during the weekend for the upcoming week or as early in the week as possible. Anyway, have a beautiful night. I'll see ya tomorrow. xx

Tuesday Truths

:: It's felt really good the past few days of being able to sleep in and not be in such a hurry all day long. I am still trying to get back into the swing of things though.

:: I keep thinking about the two 14 year old boys who are lost at sea. When did young boys start sailing 19 feet boats on their own?? You can't even drive at that age but they were out in the ocean without any supervision? Is it just me that wonders why the hell the parents would allow that? I pray they are still alive and that we find them soon. #FindAustinAndPerry

:: Sometimes I think my husband would like me to change up into a 1950's housewife just so he don't have to hear me complain. Too bad. I will never be the kind of person who sits back and keeps my mouth shut with a smile on my face.  It just won't happen. God didn't make me that way. I am never going to try to be someone I am not.

:: Its been so hot here lately. I have been having to keep the sliding doors closed most of the day to let the air help cool things down...until the sunsets. And then I am opening the house back up. I need fresh air!

:: Bobbi Christina is finally at peace with her mom. Talk about tragic. I have felt for a while that she was already gone. I think they needed each other so much and now they can finally be at peace together. But it's still really really sad.

:: Brittany and I had such a good time while we were away. I love the Biltmore and so did she. It was the perfect mother daughter trip and we made a ton of memories. Sorry some didn't like her clothes or what have you. I am proud of her all the way around and mean hateful comments will get your ass blocked. FOREVER.

:: Donald Trump is giving me all kinds of giggles here lately. :) I would never ever vote for him but I do find him entertaining to say the least!

:: I had a tooth removed on the bottom back last year and I think my teeth have shifted all around and my mouth kinda feels weird. Sight....guess I need to make a dentist appt for myself as well as Jackson.

:: Here's another story in the news that got my attention. Two brothers were burnt beyond belief ( see story here ) because their daycare didn't put sunscreen on them during a waterpark trip. I would flip out so badly over that. I would probably commit a felony over that happening to my kids. What a neglectful bunch of idiots at that daycare. I feel so sorry for the kids who didn't deserve to be in that kind of pain. What kind of people allow that to happen?

:: My purse is a disaster. I am actually using a large one that I like to use for travel so I am going to switch it out today. I can't live with it this way.

:: A couple of our neighborhood houses got sold. So now I get to listen to home repairs happening right now. It's one of those big loud saws that annoy me to no end. I seriously need a country home. I am just not that happy with neighbors. I pretty much keep to myself and stay away from most of them. It's just not my thing.

:: Jackson looks like he grew over the summer at his dads. Most of the clothes he went up with seem too tight or little on him now. Glad it's time for some back to school shopping. He needs new clothes asap.

:: I need to work in my planner today. I didn't have a plan to do anything yesterday except recoup after a long week with Brittany. It was an amazing time but I needed a break. It's time to get back at it now though.

:: I cleaned out the frig Sunday and it felt so good. I needed to do it before I left on our Biltmore Trip and didn't....so when I got home we had some science experiments going on. I cleaned it from top to bottom which took a good hour and now it looks amazing. Yea!

:: For some reason my lavender is struggling this year. I might try to replant it and see if that helps. Something is wrong.

:: I have a lot of giveaway prizes and such to mail out. Please be patient. I plan on getting all that handled this week. Promise! :)

I hope you guys are having a great Tuesday! I'll be back a little later with a new video. xx

DITL Vlog: Girls ONly Trip! Biltmore Day 2! :)

Monday, July 27, 2015

Happy Monday friends! I normally do a big week in review post on Monday's but we are still kinda off schedule blogging wise. Instead, I am sharing a new Day in the Life Vlog from my girl only trip with Brittany. We were able to escape last week and head to Ashville, NC to the Biltmore. It was such a lovely trip. Scott had to work and couldn't go but I am sure he would have loved it just as much if he went too. This was a long day, so it's a long vlog. I thought about it, and decided to go ahead and put everything in one video. I am not going to post a new video tomorrow in case you can only watch 30 minutes or so; you can pause and come back tomorrow and finish it up. Hope you enjoy!

Hopefully by next Monday we will be back on a regular schedule around here. I do have a lot of to dos this week and really need to get busy before school starts in a few weeks for Jackson. There is more back to school shopping, registering kids in school, and maybe even a trip down south if all goes as planned. So it's a busy time in our home...like many of yours! :) A new school year brings a new fresh start...which I actually like. I will be back blogging and sharing daily again...and there are a lot of videos that have not even been posted. So I have a lot to catch up on. How was your weekend? Are you getting ready for back to school? It sure is coming fast! Thanks for stopping by...I'll talk to ya soon.

DITL VLOG: Girls only Trip! Biltmore Day 1 :)

Saturday, July 25, 2015

Happy Saturday friends! I hope you guys are having a great weekend. Sorry it's been a couple of days but I have been busy! Brittany is here and we decided to just go on a little road trip to the Biltmore House in Ashville NC. I had been before but she had not and it's such a nice estate where we could spend a few days. Scott had to work so we left him at home and took off on our little adventure! I recorded a vlog each day and will be sharing them all in the coming days. We already did day 1 of school shopping which you can see here if you haven't already and here is day one at Biltmore. Hope you enjoy!

I have a ton of pictures which I will show in time. She is not leaving until tomorrow morning so today is finishing up school shopping and spending our last night together. I hate seeing her go back to her dads but that's where she is happiest where she can be in her school with her best friends...and cheerleading. And I can't just can't take that away from her. See why I am ready to move back? We have a few things to handle with our other kids before we can make a big change like that but that move looks like it will be happening in the future sometime. Thank you guys for stopping by. I will be back on Monday. xx If your new here, get subscribed!

First Alert Bark Genie Review & Giveaway | Video & Corresponding Blog Post |

Tuesday, July 21, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful day. :) I'm sorry I didn't have this video go live at midnight but it was a long day and I was really tired last night. So anyway, I am back with a very pet friendly review and giveaway that will help either your barking dogs or your neighbors barking dogs! If you guys have watched me for any length of time, you would know I hate how my neighbors dogs barking all the time. Well, there is something out there to help. This review/giveaway was very hard to do for us because testing it out on our dog was a challenge being he is very obedient. But we did try it out on him a few times and you can see in the video below how he responds. Everything you need to know is in the video and there are more pictures, information and the giveaway form below. Hope you enjoy.

So what did you guys think of the video and product? When I shared this product and upcoming video in a vlog so many of you seemed interested in this product. So lets check it out:

Here is the stand alone Bark Genie from First Alert. I was sent this product and the one below to review and host a giveaway so you guys can try it out too. Here's more about it:

Stop annoying barking anywhere with the Bark Genie™ automatic bark control device. The Bark Genie™ bark control device automatically detects barking and reacts by emitting a high-pitched ultrasonic sound that only dogs can hear. Perfect for all environments, the Bark Genie™ automatic bark control device makes it easy to control barking.

  • Automatically detects barking and reacts by emitting an ultrasonic sound that only dogs can hear
  • Pet friendly ultrasonic technology is safe and effective
  • The Bark Genie™ automatic bark control device can stand alone, hang on a tree or be mounted on any wall
  • Weatherproof for use indoors or outdoors
  • Detects barking up to 50 feet away
  • 3 adjustable levels of sensitivity
  • Great for your noisy neighbor's dog
  • Works on all dog breeds

For us, we tried this out at the front door to see how Cooper would respond to it when barking. It's perfect for dogs to bark a lot when people come in or out..and this automatic where it the sound comes when it picks up the first bark. However, for us we really don't have issues with Cooper barking at the front door. But we do have neighbors with dogs who bark a lot. So I took this very handy Bark Genie outside to the back porch to see how well it would work. I am out on the patio all the time either working in the flowers, talking on the phone, or even enjoying a meal out there. And this Bark Genie has made all the difference. I love that it has the different sensitivity levels because it takes the highest level to get those barkers to calm down. But it works and I am so happy that we have a more peaceful back yard now. :)

Here is the other product I was given to test out. This is the hand held Bark Genie that works great for on the go and also for training. Here's more about it:

Stop annoying barking anywhere with the Bark Genie™ handheld bark control device. With a simple press of a button, the Bark Genie™ handheld bark control device emits an ultrasonic sound that deters the dog from barking. It is safe and pet friendly and emits a sound that only dogs can hear.
  • Stop unwanted barking with the push of a button
  • Pet friendly ultrasonic technology is safe and effective
  • Take the handheld Bark Genie™ handheld bark control device anywhere you go to deter unwanted barking
  • Weatherproof for use indoors or outdoors
  • Works up to 15 feet away
  • Works on all dog breeds

This product was a little more easy to test out on Cooper. Did you see int he video above how he responded: It really does get a barking dogs attention fast.
When Scott was hitting the button, Cooper just stopped and looked annoyed at the noise radiating from the handheld bark genie. Again, its hard to do on an obedient dog but I wanted you guys to see for yourselves that it does work and will help quiet your dog and it will also help a lot in training. When using this as a training device, you really need to correct them with the right tone and words while hitting the Bark Genie button. I promise you...it will make a difference if you follow through with your commands. It actually works without the commands but if you are trying to teach your pet not to jump or pull while walking, all you would do is push the button...correct the behavior verbally and follow through each time, changes will happen fast.

I was so impressed with these products. My mom even tested it out and seemed to like it a lot with her yappy dogs. And I love the big unit to keep the barking down with the neighbors dogs. The good thing is, its totally pet friendly. It will not hurt them in anyway and the dogs simply don't like the high pitch sound. It gets their attention fast. So would you like to try it on your pet at home or your loud neighborhood pets?

Bark Genie is sponsoring a giveaway where one of YOU will win a Bark Genie just like the ones I showed you in the video above! 8 winners will receive the stand alone Bark Genie and 8 other winners will receive the hand held Bark Genie! This giveaway will go on from today - July 21, 2015 through April 4, 2015. Use the form below to get entered. You must be 18 years of age to enter. There are lots of ways to earn extra points too! :) If you are interested in going ahead and buying either of these Bark Genie products you can find them at your local Walmart and you can also find them online.

Good luck to everyone!

Thank you guys for stopping by today! I really hope this giveaway helps you and your furry friends.  Sometimes Rafflecopter experiences technical difficulties. If you can’t enter for some reason, try again later and it will probably work. If not, let me know and I'll see if I can help. All the giveaways are meant to give back to you guys for coming around and sharing our lives with us. Good luck to everyone. ♥

Week in Review: Day in the Life Vlog July 13-20, 2015

Monday, July 20, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you are having a great start to your week. I am still tired a bit but I have a busy day ahead of me so hopefully the coffee starts working fast. :) Normally I put up a big week in review but today is a bit different. I don't have a ton of time so it's going to be a bit shorter. Here's the latest day in the life vlog....from last week. Hope you enjoy!

Here's a little more about our week:

Starting off last week, it was not that exciting. I did a ton of online work trying to not only get caught up but also trying to get a few things done ahead of Brittany coming to visit. I consider this blog and my youtube channel a part time job of sorts so to take off, I feel like I have to get as much done as possible to get things done ahead of time. It was a lot of time at the house and at the desk. Not too much fun!

I did get a little shopping done at the beginning of the week. Scott and I have been eating a few more adult type dinners since we have been kid free. We normally are eating more kid meals with cheeseburgers, pizza and dinners that Jackson likes. However, it's been cheese plates, scallops....you know, meals the kids just don't care for. Not many kids around the house this summer has actually saved us a little bit of money grocery wise. It been kind strange seeing the price of the grocery bill for just Scott and I compared to when the kids are here with us. It's crazy what the difference is. But school is around the corner and that bill will shoot right back up again! But it's been interesting to see the difference in our food bill. :)

Most of the week was pretty calm around here. Scott worked a ton and I worked around the house trying to get things cleaned up and ready for Brittany Belle coming to visit. I wouldn't say I got things completely done but who cares. It's never going to be perfect around here but I got Jackson's room cleaned up ( a big job ) that she could use. I was going to put her in the spare room but the tv is big in Jackson's room and that way we don't mess up the spare bedroom and make more messes for me to clean up! :)

Saturday started off normal but really ended with a bang. One of our other kids were having a very hard night and it was so hard to listen to. It was heartbreaking and hard to get things calmed down. It's really hard not being close to all of them. I would love to just get all of our kids, move them close to us and I won't have to worry as much. I was up super late and had to be up Sunday super early to get Brittany. Needless to say, Saturday and Sunday both, turned out to be mostly about the kids. I was so tired when I fell asleep only to be woke up 3 hours later at 5:30am by my exhusband. He was my wake up call since he wanted to leave so early. It was so hard pulling my butt out of bed but I did and Scott drove us to pick up Brittany.

Look at who else was tired. She was up late and only got a few hours of sleep herself. While we were driving I fell to sleep first and then woke up to find Brittany sleeping peacefully. About the picture, I didn't realize she had come out of her seatbelt to sleep. She had it on when I dozed off and even after waking up and taking the picture, I didn't notice it. But I did once I got home and we had a loooong talk about it. I about died. We were driving fast down a highway and she took it off to sleep. Anything could have happened...and next time I see this happening the phone is gone for a week. I slept in the seat belt and know it's uncomfortable but it is what it is...and Brittany better figure that out fast before she gets into trouble!

I was a zombie once we got home. I was tired and had to muddle through because I didn't want to waste a minute of time with Brittany. I started feeling a little better after I had a early evening shower and made dinner. It was so nice sitting here talking to Brittany about her friends, school and so much more. She is growing up on me faster than any of the others it seems. I really couldn't be more proud. She is a good person with a big heart, a good student, a funny girl who is showing me life from her point of view. Our kids are seriously the best part of us. Scott's children are just as much mine and vice versa. Our blended family is not the dream I had; it's so much better. Laura and Zane are amazing kids and they all make our lives better. Because of them, I am totally blessed. Today though, might not seem like the blessing while I am taking Brittany school shopping! We don't totally agree on clothes but it will be interesting to say the least. I have to actually get moving with this blog post because she wants me cleaned up and ready by 2pm. Ha! Look at her with the schedule. Maybe she is her mothers daughter. ♥

Here's a few to do's for this week:

- Get hotel for mid week vacation.
- Check PO Box
- Pay Bills
- Brush out cats
- Call and make appointments for Jackson...Pre School.
- Dump Photos from phone.
- Make lots of memories with Brittany this week.
- Do laundry in the evenings...to make sure it doesn't pile up.
- Water the plants
- Clean up closet in master bedroom....its a mess.
- Call down south and report updates
- Make time read...maybe while laying on beach in Lake Lure.
- Speaking of the beach...better try to assemble big umbrella here at home for the first time. It's cool as can be, and perfect for the beach.
- Check registration dates for Jackson.
- Clean out frig...probably some science experiments going on in there.

Some inspiration for your week:

Thanks for stopping by. I am going to have a busy week ahead of me. I have lots to do with Brittany today and tomorrow...and then Wednesday we are leaving for a little mini vacation..just us girls! Scott would love to go, but he doesn't have that kind of vacation time so he's staying home and taking care of things here and we are going to go play! I will be vlogging.. and promise to have them up next week sometime!  Let me know how things have been going...I'd love to hear from you. ♥  If you are new here, get subscribed!

What's Cookin' | Our Daily Meals | Video

Late night hello to you all! I know the clock is getting ready to strike midnight but I wanted to go on and get this video up...being the blog email goes out every morning. :) So here is a new What's Cookin' video sharing our daily meals. Please know, I don't always want to be in the kitchen and I don't mind taking a little help from the store. Some nights it's a challenge to get something on the table and with Scott's late hours, it's also been a challenge to find meals that will be good at 10pm or super fast to make. We also ate out a few nights....which you will see in the video below. Hope you enjoy.

Thanks so much for stopping by...even if it's early morning. I know these were not all fancy dinners that I stayed in the kitchen all day to make. Nope. Real life happens around here and some nights I am in a hurry and just need to get something fast on the table. If you have any questions or comments be sure to let me know!

2015 Travel Series: His & Her Carry On Organization | Video |

Saturday, July 18, 2015

Hello friends! I hope your day is going well. Around here its been a day of thunder and no rain. The sun is out but the sky is grumbling and before long, it will probably be pouring down. Perfect for a day at the desk with a steaming cup of hot tea. Anyway, I am back sharing another one of our Travel Series Videos. This time I am sharing how I packed Scott and my carry on luggage. Everyone is different packs different. However, some of the items in our carry on really made a huge difference in organization which were also space saving. You can check out all the new and old luggage that we were using and loving right here. Hopefully some time in August I will have some reviews up of some of the new luggage that we used. And by the way...I am sorry for the blurry picture. I must have deleted it and just used a screen capture from youtube. :)

Summer is the time for travel for so many of us as well as holiday travel. So hopefully a few of the tips and tricks in the video will help make your travels easier too! Hope you enjoy!

Everyone packs different and I totally understand those trips when there is no planning... just packing and getting out of the door as fast as possible. However, life is so much easier when you plan and organize. While we were on vacation, I was so happy to know I had everything I needed. And knowing where it was in the bag made things so much easier. Do you have any packing tips? I would love to hear them! I'll be back soon sharing what's in my travel makeup bag. Stay tuned! xx

But I just filmed when I actually had the time to plan. Hope you enjoy!

So as you saw in the video, I am letting go of one of the Erin Condren planners I have. It's slightly used and I will tear out a few pages but for the most part, the planner is barely used. I thought maybe one of you guys might want it...and that's better than it collecting dust on my desk. All you have to do is get entered below. You have until August 1, 2014 and it's open to everyone. ♥ Good luck.

Friday Letters ♥

Friday, July 17, 2015

Hello friends. I hope your evening is going well. Here's another edition of Friday Letters.....hope you enjoy.

Dear God, Thank you for making the harder days easier. I am trying to follow the path you are leading me on with least resistance. Thank you for always listening. Dear Brittany, I can't believe you will be here in a few days. I just know we are going to have a wonderful little adventure. I love you. Dear House, with no kids around, it's been easier to keep you clean. However, that's all about to change with a new school year. Dear Romeo, we can still see you hiding under the blankets when your butt and tail is hanging out. Dear Sunset, you were so beautiful tonight. I just sat on the back porch and watched you slowly come down. Amazing. Dear Mom, I will try to get the pictures to you as soon as I can. I love and miss you. Dear Jackson, I hope your summer has been great. We have missed you and so ready for you to come home. Dear Trina, thanks for always being there. I couldn't imagine life without you. Dear Car, I seriously need to clean you out....like tomorrow. Dear Neighbors, it really makes my day when I don't see any of you. Please don't take it personal...I just like to keep to myself. Living in the back of the house has really paid off. Not too much excitement going on in the back and for that I am thankful. Dear Laci, Congratulations for doing so well at work...I'm proud of you. Dear Scott, I love you but you could please stop making the coffee so strong in the mornings!? It's killing me and by my 2nd cup I have caffeine shakes. Dear TV, you are so disappointing right now. Something new has to come on soon....please. Dear Wind, you have been so strong here lately. Tree limbs are all over the place.  Dear Laura, I think of you a lot. We as a family are here for you and we love you with all of our hearts. Dear Marines, I am so sorry for what happened to you. Our country is not safe....things have totally changed. May you rest in peace. Dear Cooper, it's sad watching you run around and look for Scott. Hopefully soon. Dear Shanna, I am so glad your new home is amazing. I have been waiting years for you to move. Can't wait to come visit! Dear Flowers, the heat is seriously killing all of you. All that money wasted. :( Dear Hair, I am still not happy with you. Not even a little bit. I think you need to be a different color and you need cut. But it's going to be a couple weeks. Hopefully I won't grab the scissors and go for it but you never know. Dear Blog/Youtube Friends, thank you for being the most amazing supportive friends ever. I love you guys and I appreciate everyone of you. I hope you have a great weekend. Around 12am I will have a new video and blog post up because there is a giveaway included. Come back if your up and check it out!

Ask the Housewife: YOUR Questions Answered! Part 1

Hello friends! I hope your day is going well. I am back with a new video where I am answering YOUR questions! There were so many questions that were sent in, I had to break them up. So here is Part 1. Hope you enjoy!

I am slowly getting back on schedule with the videos. :) Only to go on another trip next week. Brittany and I are taking off for a mid week vacation. Scott has to work most of the week that she will be here so it's just us. I have to admit, it's going to be a bit scary but we are going to do it and we are going to have a great time. I've never really done anything like hiking or going to the beach without a boyfriend or husband but there is a first for everything. :) I am sure it will be a time we both will never forget. I should be back a little later with Friday Letters. ♥  If you are new here, I would love it if you took a few minutes to say hello and get subscribed! xx

Tuesday Truths

Hello friends. Happy Tuesday to you all. I hope your day is going well! I am back with another edition of Tuesday Truths...hope you enjoy.

:: I'm totally sleepy today. One would think I would eventually wake up. More coffee I guess.

:: Scott and I made it through dinner with no issues last night. It was much needed relief and the sushi was really good too. :)

:: I actually got my nails painted last night. Thank goodness for the insta-dry polishes. I never seem to hold still long enough for them to dry. I just hate the chipping. We'll see how many days I get through with no chips. I doubt it will be very long.

:: I've had a headache the last couple of nights. They haven't started until the late evening and last until bed. I don't know what the hell is going on and I hope it stops. I hate giving myself shots. I have injections to take to help but giving myself a shot is next to impossible. But when it gets bad enough...I do want the help.

:: I have a video uploaded with a giveaway and just need to get the blog post done. Come back and visit to get check it out and get entered.

:: I am starting to like Donald Trump. AND....I am starting to think he is a plant from the Democrats to smear the Republican party. Ha!! It's working! That man is such a mess but hes fun to watch and I love him tearing up his other party members. Goooooooo Donald.....represent your party!!!!

:: I told you guys about the Love the Home you Have. It is written so sweet and I have totally been enjoying it. :) It doesn't feel as cold as the Kon Marie Method and more homey in a sense. Get it... I am betting you will love it.

:: Thank you for all the comments on yesterdays vlog. I wasn't sure to leave in the part where I am upset but I think if I am going to share our lives with you, its best to be honest and not try to convince you that our life is perfect. It's totally not and we are just learning and growing everyday by our decisions, by our mistakes and with God's help....we get learn as we go and do better.

:: I've been back at the house so much I have barely seen any of the neighbors. I haven't heard much either. I am thankful that we are either at the back of the house most of the time or upstairs. We do kinda live in our world here.

:: I am not sure the Iran deal is a good thing. I am not sure they will follow anything and do anything they are suppose to do. Iran is super dangerous....and Israel is flipping out and rightfully so.

:: I have a ton of emails to catch up on... comments too. Please don't think because you don't get a reply right away that I don't care or haven't read them. I have. I read every email and comment as they come in. Making time to sit down without distractions to answer them is a challenge within itself. I'll be caught up by the end of the week! ( I hope )

:: Speaking of comments, thank you guys for your concern over my emotional night in my last vlog. You guys are so sweet, kind and loving. Your advice is amazing and I just want you to know that I am pushing on to a new day and trying to perk myself up. There is no time in my life to lay around and cry. I have kids to raise and a house to take care of. There is no time to sit around and be sad. Needless to say....I am trying to perk myself up. :)

:: I think I am going to make some chocolate pudding today. Sounds yummy.

:: It's been raining here since yesterday afternoon. I don't really mind either. It's been so hot here that a little rain is good for everything. Last night it go so bad that there were tree limbs flying off the trees. The branch that had my bird feeder snapped and broke...and on the way to dinner last night there huge trees down. Today it's been pretty calm but raining. I actually woke up to the sound of the thunder.

:: Whoopie Goldberg cleaned up her act about Bill Cosby on The View finally. It's about time. So many woman with such similar accounts. And then he admits to drugging women for sex in a deposition. I was shocked she was going along with that and glad she is cleaning it up. I'm sorry...I just don't think that many woman would have the same lie. Nope. The man is more than guilty and most of us don't need the court to help us figure that out. A friend dropped me an email ( that I still need to respond to! ) saying she didn't care for me saying that in this country you are guilty until proved innocence. In a way, I feel that's how it is now days. But public opinion matters too. Bill Cosby is dead in the water and it's so sad.

:: I am trying to find a way to really organize my planner stickers. I bought something that is working out but it's not exactly what I want....but it will do.

:: Time for another cup of coffee and then it's time to answer some emails. Thank you guys for stopping by. I should have a new video and giveaway up in just a bit. Come back and get entered! Happy Tuesday!

Week in Review: Day in the Life Vlog & To Do's | July 6 - 13, 2015 |

Monday, July 13, 2015

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. As many of you know... I post a week in review recapping what happened over the week & weekend. Its something that I have been doing off and on for years. Its just a simple way to give you guys a glimpse into our week. I have changed up the vlogging schedule where I will be uploading a Day in the life vlog Monday...as always and then another on Thursday. However this week, I am only sharing one vlog. There was just not that much going on. I actually debated putting this up, because it's kinda emotional at certain parts. Just know that I am forging on with a new day and a new week. Hope you enjoy.

Here's more about our week:

I don't really know how things got on tilt since vacation. But during and since there have been a bunch of emotional stuff that has happened. I keep trying to figure out why but I am kinda lost with the answer. At this point, I am just trying to enjoy a fresh week knowing that Brittany will be here next week and the week after Jackson will be home for school. I couldn't be more happy. I miss them both terribly and its felt so strange not having either of them around. Brittany's visit is a bit short but she is extremely busy with cheer camp and she starts school before Jackson. The kids schedules are so different. Another frustrating part of life right now. They both have been keeping busy. Brittany is always with her girlfriends and they are so freaking cute. I loved the efficient way they were all doing each others hair. I love it. And Jackson has been doing all the boy things he loves to do. He's been fishing and hunting... all the things I don't really do. At least he can spend his summer getting some of that stuff out of his system. Around here, its all about school and stuff that doesn't involve killing anything. Yea... it's going to happen in our home. But his Dad does a great job of getting all that stuff done in the summer. I can't wait for him to come home.

Since it's been a lot of quiet time around the house, it's totally been all about the kitty cats. They are so cute and I love cuddling up to them. Romeo is is as cute as ever only really being awake a few hours during the day. Right now he is laid out in the middle of the living room floor sleeping like the big baby he is.

Gabby is still eating llike a lion. She is the smallest cat in our family and eats more than the others. It makes no sense to me. However, Scott thinks it's kinda a silly concern but I do think I will end up taking her to the Vet. She might check out all normal but it will make me feel better knowing her tests are clear. I am not in a huge emergency time table so I might wait a week or so but I think its time for a Gabby checkup. She doesn't need her shots but maybe a physical would be a good start. Plus she is the oldest too.

Since we have gotten home from vacation life has felt kinda different. I am not sure why either. But it's been a struggle to get back to a normal routine. Everything kinda feels off. I think a lot of it is missing the kids. It's hard being away from them. Scott and I have been bickering a little more and its not just rainbows and smiles all the time. Real life is messy and complicated. I am just hoping it all gets back to normal soon. ♥

I did get a new book this week....
It was recommend from Amazon and the reviews are really good. I thought it might be an interesting read. Have any of you read it? I haven't even opened the book yet but I am kinda excited. You can find the authors blog right here..The Inspired Room in case your like me and haven't heard of it yet!

To Do's
