Quick Dollar Tree Haul | Video |

Saturday, February 27, 2016

Hello friends. I thought while I have a few minutes I would share a new Dollar Tree shopping haul from today. I went for a few specific things that they didn't actually have. But I did pick up a few other things....and if you want to check it out, here's the video.

Its a pretty calm night around here. Scott is on his way home and I think we are just going to veg out on the couch and enjoy some tv together. I am sure he's happy that he is off work tomorrow. It means he can relax, stay up a bit later and actually get to sleep in tomorrow. I hope you have a beautiful and blessed weekend. xx

Weekly Food & Household Shopping Haul! | Video |

Friday, February 26, 2016

Hello friends....happy happy Friday to you all. Today I went out and did some shopping. I didn't do a huge haul because we have a trip planned next week and I really want to use up a lot of the food we already have. I include our dinner menu and the items I got. Hope you enjoy!

Thankfully tonight I am not in the kitchen worrying about dinner. We are finishing up leftovers tonight which makes me super happy. Happy I don't have to cook and happy that we are not wasting food! Thanks so much for stopping by. I had hoped to get up Friday Letters but I just didn't get around to it...maybe tomorrow.  Have a beautiful and blessed weekend. xx

Planning for Beginners | Picking a Planner & Structuring Your Days | Video |

Wednesday, February 24, 2016

Hello friends! I can't believe we made it to hump day already. I have been up and moving this morning getting Jackson to the Dr and then back to school. Thankfully I am home because it's been rainy and windy with tornado warnings all over the place. I thought today I would share this planning for beginners video because I have been asked a lot about how to get started. I know many of you are interested in the decorating aspect of planning ( probably from all those amazing planner photos on instagram! ) but I thought we should put these videos up in the right order. Before we start the fun decorating part of planning, I am going into actually finding that right planner for yourself and figuring out how to structure your own days. I ramble on for a while in this video so grab a cup of tea and settle in. Hope you enjoy!

Planning is very personal and individual. What works for me might not work for you. I think it's so important to keep track of your appointment's but also your to do list along with tasks and projects. I really don't know any other way of life than scheduling out my days. Even in times when I am feeling a little down, I rely on my planner to make sure I don't just lay around. I feel it really holds me accountable.

There are so many planners to pick from. Right now I am currently in my Midori Travelers Notebook. It's been working really well from me. However, I have used a ton of different planners....here are a few of my favorite planner shops ( in no particular order )

I also wanted to let you know a few of my favorite planning instagram accounts. These are not links... you will have to go search the name yourself within the app.

There is so much great information out there about planning. I hope you can find some inspiration to break your planners out and see how they are really working for you. We are not too far into a new year to get a new planner to suit you're needs better. I will have a lot of new planner videos coming up in 2016 so stay tuned! If you have any questions or comments be sure to let me know. xx

Tuesday Truths

Tuesday, February 23, 2016

Happy Tuesday friends! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I am back with another edition of Tuesday Truths. Hope you enjoy.

- I have been more productive just in the couple of this week compared to last week. Lets hope I don't fizzle out!

- I hate hate hate reading Trump is unstopable. Great. I have to admit my mom is still going strong for him. We totally don't see eye to eye on him but I'm a little nervous. And I don't think Scott would ever vote for him.

- When I woke up this morning it was in the 60's upstairs. I actually woke up because I was so cold. Guess that's what we get for turning the heat off early up there. With a $600 power bill can you blame us!? I've been freezing around here every since this morning.

- How's that sign above? I need one! My neighbors are proving daily they are bigger idiots than I suspected. I feel like doing an entire blog post .... You know you're neighbors are idiots when......they publicly put these signs in their yards. I guess they support them all or they are just trying to piss me off! :) It doesn't. I thought about filling the yard up with Democrat signs but instead I am putting some posters up. Also these people are still yelling at our kids. I'd like to see them try that with Scott or I. My kids are good so they listen to adults but I think I might just give them a free pass on those neighbors of mine. Who are they to tell my kids what they can or can't do. The sad thing is, no matter what I think of them, I have always treated their kid with kindness. It takes a special kind of asshole to be mean to a couple of kids playing outside. I swear it will be the best day of my life when I can move up out of this neighborhood. Soon...very soon.

- The best part of errands today was the seat heater. It simply felt amazing on my body. Wouldn't mind having a chair that heats up in the house as well.

- I've been trying to take better care of my nails. I normally pay people to help me in this department but I just want healthy pretty nails without a big price tag. I have been going through a lot of my polishes and plan on doing a video soon about some of my favorite spring favorites. However, just today a nail broke. * Sigh.

- I have to admit, I am still watching the Kardashians. I feel a little ashamed to say that but for some strange reason I find it interesting! Guess it's a guilty pleasure.

- Most of the Valentine candy is finally finished up. Scott looooves chocolates of any kind as does the kids. My indulgence was the truffles and I am sure my ass is starting to show it!

- Sunday Scott and I watched Forsaken. I like a cowboy movie every once in a while. I love Keifer and Donald Sutherland. AND...seeing Demi Moore in it was also interesting. It just needed Emillio Estevez for it to seem like the brat pack was back! Remember Flatliners? Well that was Julia Roberts but anyway, it was a ok movie. I just imagined my grandfather sitting here with us watching.

- I ordered the new book from Kate Hudson. I thought it might just be an interesting read. I'll be sure to let you know in book review.  If I like the book I am reading, I tend to want to share it. So maybe even a giveaway for this book might be in the works!

- A few of my favorite youtubers just have been MIA here lately. Jennifer Ross is off in mommy mode and not filming that much. Hillary from Our Farm House Life is busy with school and work...Julia Graf is not putting up as many videos. I miss these ladies! Life takes over for all of us sometimes.

- Our house eats up batteries...and socks...and pens....I am always searching for batteries for this remote or that remote. I think it might be time we switch out to all rechargeable batteries. Makes more sense.

- Last week this time I was so tired. I actually feel to sleep last Tuesday before 10pm. Like I mentioned in this video, I was just too tired to ignore it. Everything stopped and I got some rest. Today I am feeling a little dozy but it's been rainy and cold for a couple of days now.  I have still managed to stick to schedule and accomplish my normal tasks.

- Speaking of tasks, it's off to bed a little earlier tonight because tomorrow morning Jackson has a Dr. appointment. We will be up and out early and I am not looking forward to it one bit. But at least I will have a good start on the day.

- I have a blanket hanging over the banister that I was washed in bleach and a part of me really likes the smell of bleach flowing through the house. It reminds me of clean.

- I bought a new manners book for Brittany. I think I might get the book for the boys as well. It's a big deal teaching manners to the kids. I wish more parents would take it a little more serious. And believe me, I too have my work cut out for myself on this subject. But until I am gone, I am going to be preaching manners to the kids.

- I found out one of my plates to my new set got broke. I know it's just a plate but my stomach dropped when I realized it. I am just going to order a few more and move on.

- I am a still at a loss when it comes to quickly deleting photos off my phone. Why didn't Apple make this easier? It's sooooo time consuming!

- I CANNOT BELIEVE there is only 1 more Downton Abby left to air. WTF? I wonder if they are going to give us a movie like Sex in the City. I am seriously going to need Downton Abby rehab. I am going to miss it so much.

- Dinner is cooking away in the oven. I am so thankful for dinners that are easy. People tend to think I should be in the kitchen all the time with a certificate in baking and pastry. Yea...not so much. But I think my family will like tonight's dinner which does put a :) on my face.

- I seriously don't understand people who try to call me with no caller id. Did you notice I said...Try to call me because I refuse to answer those calls. Feel free to leave a message....that I will probably never listen to. Good luck getting a hold of me with no number.

I hope you guys had a great Tuesday! We are in the middle of our evening routine. This post has taken a little while to type out and it's about time to eat dinner. I am going to try to get back here a little later tonight and post a new planner video. I actually have 2 planner videos coming up for ya in the next couple of days. One already went live on youtube that I just need to share and I will have another one live late tonight/tomorrow. xx

MomoUp Review & Giveaway | Video |

Hello friends! I am back today sharing a new quick review and giveaway. For the past few weeks I have been testing out some new makeup removers and blotting papers that was sent to me to review. I love trying new things and I do have to take off my makeup every night so I said yes...but I also asked if they would host a giveaway and they said yes! Here's my review and to get entered in the giveaway just scroll down! :)

So as you saw in the video they also sent me blotting papers to try out as well. I was a little nervous about them because I typically have dry skin but I was totally up for trying them out.

Both products were sent to me. However that NEVER effects my reviews. If there is something that doesn't work for me, I will tell you why. I try to list out the positives and negatives because what does or doesn't work for me might be different with other people. Here are my thoughts on these items. :)

I was excited to try these makeup removers out. I got them a while ago and have been testing them out every since. There is no quick way of seeing how they effect the skin unless you try them out for a few weeks. Night in and night out I used these easy finger-cot removers to take off all my makeup before a shower or bath. As you can see, the box comes with a lot of individual wrapped makeup removers. There are 25 but some nights I only use one and then finish with the 2nd one the night after. I love that they are wrapped up in a tidy way that won't get contaminated. They are also perfect for on the go or travel.

These little wipes fits over one or two of your fingers to easily wipe off all the makeup. They are super moist. I was testing them out and could actually ring out the remover from the pads. I don't see any issues with these drying up. The waffle design on each one makes it easier to get off stubborn  makeup including eye liners and mascaras.  I was amazed at how easy it took everything off without pulling and tugging. I loved how it worked so well on my waterproof mascara! Having it on my finger allowed me to really get into the smaller areas of my face like the corners of my eyes and around my nose. Once I was done, I just tossed the used makeup removers right in the trash. I do tend to really wash my face even after using these. But I feel like I get such a better clean face because of the removers getting everything off allowing me to concentrate on just my skin in the shower.

I was also sent the MomoUP blotting papers. I normally don't use these a ton but I thought the case was so adorable. I tossed it in my handbag and before I knew I was testing it out! I pretty much have just dry skin but it's crazy how much oil that I was able to get off using some of the sheet roll. This one is interesting because it's not just a pre made size. You can just tear it where you want to in case you want a larger or smaller sheet. Very handy depending on the area of your face that you want to use it on. These are natural and powder free and work without taking off your makeup. It just simply removes oil without disturbing anything else. As I mentioned many times in the video, the case is so cute and fits perfect in your pocket, purse, car, drawer in your desk at work. I really think these papers are much more protected than the little cardboard envelopes that store many of the blotting papers on the market.

I was impressed by both of these products and I am glad to have tried them out. I think both are great for travel and I find that they are really well priced. You can find the makeup removers on Amazon for $ 14.99 with 4.5 star rating. You can also find the blotting papers on Amazon for $ 9.99 each with a 5 star rating. I don't know about you but I love a good Amazon rating! If you want to find out more about these products check out their facebook page. There is a ton of information and photos over there as well! I think both of these items worked super well for me and I wouldn't hesistate to buy them again! The nice people over at Momoups would also like for one of you guys to try them out as well and are sponsoring a giveaway! :) It's super easy to enter using the rafflecopter system below. Be sure to use all the different ways to enter to earn extra points. This giveaway is open to everyone. You must be 18 years old to enter or have your parents permission. This giveaway is going to last one week. I will announce the giveaway winner on THIS BLOG POST and Momoups will send out your prize! Good Luck to everyone!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

Thanks so much for stopping by and checking this review/giveaway out. I will be back later this afternoon with a new Tuesday Truths blog post. xx

Week in Review w/ Chatty Vlog and Weekly to Do's:

Monday, February 22, 2016

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. I am back sharing a new week in review video and post. I didn't record any vlog footage from last week so I decided that I could sit down and film a more chatty kind of video about this past week. Hope you enjoy. More is below!

As I mentioned in the video I have been feeling so tired. I think its truly a combination of a lot of different things. A lot of days I am doing things tired but this time it was different. I wasn't willing to ignore it like I have so many times before. I shut things off and simply went to bed. I still didn't sleep really well. I toss and turn all over the bed. I never feel like I get a good nights sleep. Never. I use to be so angry about it daily basis because I woke up grumpy and it took hours to feel alive and now I don't wake up angry but I am still dealing with the sleep issues that have haunted me all my life. The beginning of last week I just couldn't find any kind of motivation. A lot of my to do's and tasks got put off and things were starting to stack up around the house. By Wednesday I was a little more rested and feeling kinda guilty for not doing everything I needed to do. I can't go long without doing things for the blog/youtube, myself, my home before they pile on. One of the first things I did to get life back to normal was break out my Midori Travelers Notebook that I am using as my current planner.

I had to really prioritize what I had to get done. I took a look at my monthly spread, my weekly and started brainstorming and making lists. Important to least important and even while I was planning things out I felt a little guilty. I could have just been up doing things but really I would have been a scatterbrained mess without some road map of what I needed to accomplish. I know myself so the time spent with my planner and list making was critical to getting it done.

I went through the house on Wednesday afternoon sped cleaned everything. I had the kids clean their rooms and I pretty much did everything else. Is it perfect. Nope not by a long shot. But it is cleaned up and sticking to my routines has really helped keep it that way. Thursday Scott was home all day and we just hung out around the house, ran some errands and in the evening hours he took the boys to see...

I wasn't so sure about a weeknight movie for the boys but they had such a good time. They were home in bed by 10:30 so it wasn't that bad. I am so thankful Scott is willing to take them to see the movies I don't want to watch. The price for my ticket just wouldn't be worth it for me. And I am a little nervous of movie theaters anyway. So I got a quiet night at home while the boys took in the new Star Wars movie. Actually that night I ran some errands, got some take out and came home to enjoy all the great tv shows on Thursdays!

Friday I woke up and took one look in the mirror at my hair and knew I had to do something about it. I am never really happy with my hair but the color I picked out from Madison Reed was just too dark. I just couldn't do it. Also I thought it was too long and too heavy so I went and spent a few hours in the salon. Really I think it could be a little lighter but I can deal with that the next time I need a cut. I still might grow it out a little bit but I seriously want to get the color right. :/

On Friday night Scott had a bunch of customers right at closing time so he had to work late. I loaded up the kids and took them shopping with me. They ran all around and actually had fun time while I shopped. Those kids are always running. They run all the time in the yard and neighborhood....and I bet at school. I wish I had 1/2 of their energy! If you haven't checked out the shopping haul yet, it's right here. I did pretty good and stayed in budget. However it was after 11pm before I got everything put away. I was happy though to get that little bit of shopping checked off my to do list. I didn't think my hair would take so long but it was busy at the salon. I felt sorry for the girls because it was no stop. It was a long day but I was finally able to craw in my bed and move on to a new day.

Saturday I opened up my notebook and started figuring out what I wanted to do. I worked around the house trying my hardest to clean things up even more and organize a few of the " hot spots " along with getting a lot of the 1st floor windows cleaned up. I actually found a shot in the glass like either a bb gun or a rock from the yard. Who knows. I was just determined to not let my tired mood take another day from me.

I did a ton of laundry. My little helper was there for every bit of it too. It's funny because the cats follow me around in a pack watching everything I do. Gabby in that basket looked so sweet. It reminded me of when she was a kitten. She is by far the smartest cat in our house. She gave us so many beautiful kittens. She is also the first cat Scott ever got me. She is really special to me. ♥

Yesterday we laid around for the first part of the day. I woke up before Scott and the boys and had some quiet time when I first got up. It was nice and it made me feel good that everyone was getting some much needed rest as well. Now here we are with a new week....with new things to do. Here's a few of this weeks to do's.

:: Get to the eye Dr. Things are starting to change for me. A check up might be helpful.
:: Go through and throw out old nail polish.
:: Stick to daily/weekly routines
:: Brush out and bathe Cupcake.
:: Clean makeup brushes
:: Try to stay on schedule with videos
:: Drink more water this week. Drink more water this week. Drink more water this week.
:: Go through bills...throw up...and pay them.
:: Update dinner menus on chalkboard wall.
:: Check voicemails. I suck at it and hardly ever listen. Sorry.
:: Make some cookies
:: Clean up files on laptop.
:: Wash 1st floor blankets. Coopers blankets as well.
:: Deep clean shower in master bedroom.
:: Start preparing new Midori inserts.
:: Make some fresh apple juice
:: Look up how long before Cooper needs his shots.
:: Take time to get on treadmill every other day this week. Gotta start somewhere. :)
:: Make some eggs in a bag for the kids breakfasts tonight!!!
:: Clean up desk and file away papers
:: Get to bed by 1am at the latest this week. But hopefully earlier most nights.
:: Fill out journal every night to hold myself more accountable.
:: Clean out car this weekend.
:: Change filters on 1st and 2nd floor.
:: Put up new democratic posters in the windows in kitchen just to annoy my silly neighbors. More about that tomorrow.
:: Try to read a chapter a day in my new book.

Here's some inspiration to take with you through out the week....

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. I have a couple of errands to go out and run...then we start the evening routine with dinner, homework, showers....we always have busy evenings around here during the school year. I am hoping to be back a little later so be sure to come back when things calm down in your home to check out a new planner video. xx

Sunday Inspiration

Sunday, February 21, 2016

I love Sundays. I love having the day with my husband and kids. I love a day of " family relaxing " where we have no big things to do or tasks to complete. I mean sometimes we have things we need or want to get done, but for the most part it's just a calm day at home for us.

This past week I really tried to focus on figuring out what was going on with me. Why it has been so hard to keep up? Why has it been so hard to even stay awake some days? I am not sure of those answers right now but what I am sure God wants me right where I am at right now. I am suppose to be right here doing what I am doing. Could I do better? Sure. But the lessons of life don't come from being a perfect person....the lessons from from failing and trying again. I have always believed we are where we are because of our decisions and actions. I still think that. But we are not alone. I know that God is with me every second of the day. I know that my loved ones that have already moved on to the next world are actually still with me. I feel them all around me. I know I am not alone. I know that I have a support system that is actually out of this world! Not to mention all of our family and loved ones who also love and support our family.

I might question a lot. I might complain a lot. But I really do have faith that I am being guided by a very strong force in every direction of my life. Every wrong turn I took has lead me to something better. That's where I am today. I am in a better frame of mind than I was Monday or Tuesday of this past week. I think God knew I needed to rest and I think he also knew that I had to refocus. Sometimes I think the messages to rest and refocus come in a subtle way at first. Most of us ignore those subtle signs only until the message comes so loud that we can't just overlook it. God will in fact get you where you are going rather you like it or not. Today I hope you slow down just a little bit and try to listen to the messages God is sending you. Happy Sunday. xx

Food & Household Shopping Haul! | Video |

Hello friends! Sunday greetings to each of you. :) Last night I got busy hanging out with Scott that I forgot to come back and share this new food and household shopping haul. I take you through our menu for this next week and the items we got. Hope you enjoy!

I didn't have as much to get this week thankfully. I stuck to budget even though I took both boys with me. I also normally don't go shopping late but Scott had to work and I thought it might just be fun for the kids to get out. They ran, laughed and played through the isles of Walmart while I shopped. :) Thanks for stopping by.....I hope you liked the haul and maybe got some menu inspiration. I'll see ya again soon!

Week in Review: Day in the Life Vlog February 8-15, 2016

Saturday, February 20, 2016

Hello friends! Happy weekend to you all. I hope your day is going well. In our home it is so quiet around here right now. I am sure as the day goes on and we all start working on some different tasks and such it will liven up. And it will totally liven up when Scott comes home for sure. :)  I actually was planning on posting a new food haul but I realized that I forgot to post this vlog I put a few days ago. If you haven't seen it already, hope you enjoy!

I didn't get around to sharing a full week in review but I did a film a little bit as you can see. I had a lot of different things going on and just was too busy. I actually got a few emails asking where I was. Thank you guys for always being so caring and kind. The kids didn't have school on Monday and I just wanted to make the day about them. We all had a great time together and guess what? I wasn't busy holding a camera the entire time. It was nice! Anyway, I will be back later today with that haul I was telling you about! Be sure to come back if you need some menu inspiration. ♥

I confess....

Wednesday, February 17, 2016

Hello friends! I thought tonight I would write one of these posts just cause....it's been a while. Hope you enjoy!

- No matter how much sleep I get, I wake up still exhausted. It's a never ending cycle. Something seriously needs to change.

- I hate our insurance costs. I hate it. I hate it. I hate it. My ex husband actually doesn't pay for it and actually pays the fine at tax time and just uses the immediate care center when needed. I thought that was a pretty dumb thing to do as well but now I am starting to wonder. If we are not careful we are going to be insurance broke.

- I have been using my Midori Planner for everything. I wonder if I could write that off tax wise!? I bet my sister in law would say yes! Hummmm......would planner stickers count too!?

Singing in a bubble bath- We totally get into around here over the hot water. We have a huge tank but we all suck it up every time. I get sooooooo mad when I want to enjoy a long hot bath only to realize that the water is cold. I just don't think the boys get how important a hot bubble bath is to a girl! I don't think anyone in this house understands a 5 minute shower.

- I have a ton of emails to answer and just haven't gotten to them. I have a ton of videos I should be recording...and haven't gotten to them. I have a ton of blog post all thought out that I just haven't gotten to yet. It seems like its just been a lot with everyday life and it seems like I have been cleaning a little more.  I need to find some serious inspiration/motivation to get everything checked off the to do list.

- To be completely honest, this dark hair of mine is just not doing it for me. Why do we always want what we doing have? I am not leaving my hair this dark for long. I will probably just go to the salon and have them fix it the way I want and be done with it. My best friend said she knew the moment I changed it....would not last!

- I didn't know the ambulance was at the neighbors until my kids told me. I was a little late checking in with them to see if they needed a cooked dinner or any kind of help. I am truly a nice neighbor to the ones I like....however for most of them....I just don't care.

- Today was one of those days when I was yelling in the phone over how stupid I sometimes think my husband is. He's not really stupid but some of the shit he does would totally register as dumb. Marriage is the hardest thing I have ever done and yes I still love my husband.

- I have been following Joey Feek and her husband for a little while now. Joey is dying of Cancer. She made it through Valentines Day, The Grammy's which they were nominated for and today was her daughters 2nd birthday. It wasn't even thought she would make it until Thanksgiving. Today I actually thanked God for letting her have this very special day with daughter. Rory wrote...''...some birthdays are more than just birthdays. They're dreams coming true and prayers being answered.'

- I kept my phone on silent again today. I only talked to 2 people all day long. I have kinda checked out but I really need to get my head back in the game.

- I can't believe there is another Big Fat Greek Wedding 2 that is coming out in just days!!!! I loved the first one and I can't wait to giggle through the 2nd one. Speaking of movies....I watched Creed and was NOT disappointed! LOVED IT!

- Being a wife and mother I feel like I have totally turned into some kind of stalking/CIA Agent. There is so much to keep up on. Video games, texts, text apps, photos, internet safety. And even with Scott...I am always checking in on him through find my iphone.... same goes for Brittany. It seems to be never ending. I just want things to be ok and my kids to be safe. I feel like Jennifer Garner in Men, Women and Children.

- I really need to clean out my car. Hell, I need to clean the outside too. Guess I should just send it in with Scott and have him take care of it at the dealership. Plus it's about time for an oil change.

- We have enjoyed a little too much Valentine candy around here. Like seriously....tooooo much! We all should be brushing our teeth after a having a little chocolate treat otherwise my kids might have some cavities from all the candy!

-  I was pretty disapointed in the Grammy's this year. Girl crush sounded the best to me and I hated how Adel's song went down. I don't know....it too long and just not good enough this year.

- Romeo has been running around this house tonight meowing over and over. He needs to calm his ass down before I go climb in the bed!

I hope you guys are having a great night! I'll see ya tomorrow. xx

Hello friends! I hope you are having a great night. I am sorry this video is going live a little bit later. Food Shopping Haul | Walmart | Video |

Wednesday, February 10, 2016

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful day. I got woke up early today and have been feeling it all day. :( Actually after a pot and 1/2 of coffee, I am starting to feel more alive! Yesterday I went out to do some shopping. I got off schedule with the groceries last week. I normally go on Friday's but I went early and yada yada yada. Here we are with food haul in the middle of the week. I needed more dinner items and since I don't want to go again this Friday, I shopped for basically 2 weeks. We still might have to pick up a few other things here and there but I think I got enough to last a while! Here's our menu plan and the food I got. Hope you enjoy!

On youtube , I am happy you guys seem to like how I grouped the dinner items together. I guess I can do that more! It did seem to make more sense. I need get moving and go record a video before starting our busy evening routine. Thanks so much for stopping by. I'll see ya soon!xx

Tuesday Truths

Tuesday, February 9, 2016

Hello friends! Another Tuesday night has rolled around....so I am sharing some Tuesday Talks and Truths with you guys! Hope you enjoy.

- I just had the hardest time getting my butt out of the bed today. It felt amazing and it took everything I had to get up. Thankfully I have been doing better with getting to sleep earlier and waking earlier as well. I really have no idea why it was so hard besides it being cold outside.

- I am trying my best to keep up with my video and blog schedule. When I follow a blog or youtube channel I hate it when they just drop off the map. So I promise I am working hard at keeping up. I am also working on answering comments too. Thank you guys for taking time to leave me your thoughts on my videos.

- I have been doing a lot better at not responding to online trolls here the past few days. God knows I want to sometimes but its just a waste of energy. I am who I am and I will not apologize for it.

- Jackson broke yet another pair of glasses. It drives me crazy to have replace them over and over and over. I will probably be replacing them when he's 30. I think it's time to buy those frames that can bend.

- Guess what I found out? I was watching Forensic Files and decided afterwards to see about the sexual predators in our area. WOW is all I can say. I don't know if I want the kids ever to leave the house again. Here's the site....Family Watchdog in case you want to check too. Once the map is up just click on the pins on the map to see who they are and where they live. It makes me nervous and what makes me even more nervous is the ones who have not been caught.

- I saw an interview this morning with Teresa Giudice talking about her prison stay. I think she is beautiful with a family of beautiful daughters ( and short husband! ) but listening to her speak just shocked the hell out of me. To me she sounded like she had a mouth full of marbles. I am happy she is back home with her girls though. No one ever wants to end up in prison. I don't want to watch any of the housewives shows but I am pulling for her and her family.

- I really am not a fan of social media. I keep it for the blog but I could totally do without most of it. I do like seeing your pictures on instagram but I think through blogging and making videos I share enough. I can't keep up with it all. I thought about trying snapchat but yea...it's simply not going to happen. Do you regret any of you'r social media accounts? Maybe I should try to make it fun and be more interactive with you all. :)

- Our oldest daughter has a half sister named Sarah. Sarah has some issues in which a service dog would be helpful for. Under Lauras photo you can find a photo of Sarah and when you click on it...you will be directed to her page that explains her story. Soooooo....if you guys feel like helping, it would be gratefully appreciated. It just started and I am hoping to help get the word out so she can get a service dog. If you have any questions you can contact Laura through her blog right here.

- The weather here tonight is freeeeeezing! I guess I need to toughen up before we move up north. It's only going to be colder up there in the winters. I just don't even like going out in cold weather. I just don't like it. We should have a fire going tonight.

- I think I am getting another camera for my birthday! I am totally excited. It's the same one that Laura has and I can't wait to get it. :)

- This wouldn't be a normal Tuesday Truths post if I didn't complain about Donald Trump. Can you believe he said " P***y " on tv about another candidate. What a first. I mean I like his attitude sometimes but do you really want a mafia styled PRESIDENT? I sure don't. I can't believe people are still standing with this clown. AND he just won the New Hampshire primary. And Sanders on the democratic side. I think Sanders is our next President. In my opinion, any democrat will do.

- Brittany's little friend has been texting me daily. He's been crazy about her since 2nd grade and this boy I am actually a little nervous about. I not nervous in ways you might think....he's seems to be a wonderful young man. He is a baseball player but very allergic to peanuts! So, I am sure I will have to watch out for that in the coming years but I just think he might be around for many years. She starts high school next year and I don't expect him to go anywhere. At least his mom seems to have done her job well. He is for  abstinence unless married....he goes to church every week and he makes A's & B's. She's too young to date for a couple years but I bet when she can, he will be waiting.

- My sister in law is starting to feel better. It's not Trina....it's my other sister in law who had surgery a few weeks back. She is still home and is pretty limited in what she can do but her staples came out yesterday! One step in the right direction!

- You know I am not shy about posting stories of animal abusers in the news. I can't help it. I love animals. I feel like I do my best to care for my own and I am not above helping out any stray or abused animals. However, I take my hat off to Ursula Vari. She really shows what it means to truly love and care for an animal. When I was watching the videos last night, I had tears of happiness running down my face. Do yourself a favor and check this story out.

- I went out today and did some shopping. Thank goodness I did because I must be a spoiled bitch when it comes to coffee. I guess I just like what I like. I bought decaf Gevalia coffee and Scott had opened it up before I had a chance to mention it. Then I buy Folgers. No thank you. So happy the coffee will be extra good tomorrow morning!

- I was really pressed for time today and I am so proud of myself on how fast I moved through my errands and getting Jackson from school. I came home....got everything out of the bags and set up. Filmed the haul. Put stuff away. Edited the haul...made dinner and fed the animals. Might not sound like a lot but I was in a total hurry shopping and getting Jackson. I still have a little work to do in the kitchen but I am so thankful to be sitting here resting waiting on my husband to come home. I hope you guys had a wonderful day and an even better night. See ya tomorrow. xx

Etsy Sticker Haul | Video |

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Tuesday. It's a chilly day here and I have some running around to do later but before that happens; I thought I would share my latest etsy sticker haul that I plan on using in my Midori Travelers Notebook. I know this video might not be for everyone but if you love planners or decorating your calendars you might just enjoy seeing these stickers. Here's the video...

Here's some better photos of the stickers and stamps that came in....

This group of photos came from IsabelleTheOwl on etsy. I thought her peachy colored kits were so pretty. I got the Peachy Perfect Erin Condren Weekly Kit Planner Stickers and the horizontal Peachy Perfect Erin Condren Weekly Kit. I plan on using these a little in my Midori and on our family calendar that hangs on the chalkboard wall.
I also got her Happy Planner Winter Mauve Pink and Gold Glitter Weekly Planner Kit | Scrapbooking | because I just thought the colors were so pretty and spring like.
From Let's Plan it I found these Country Floral- ECLP vertical weekly set (2 options)-planner stickers that I really reminded me of spring. Such pretty colors and designs.

From Shimmers and Sparkles on etsy I got the February Weekly Planner Stickers - Erin Condren Vertical - wk2v just to jazz up my planner/calendar for Valentines Day.

She was also super nice and included a few extras!

I was using my Inkwell Press Live Better Planner for a while and I wanted some hexigon stickers for the monthly dashboard. I found these on Inky Dink Printing.  I picked out the Dreamsicle Hexagon Stickers / Planner Stickers / Weekly Layout Stickers / Inkwell Press Stickers / Calendar Stickers / I don't use that planner any longer but I do plan on using these still in my Midori.

From Prints VI I decided to go ahead and get a March set of stickers for St. Patrick's Day! A lot of these stickers take a couple weeks to get to you so I wanted to order early. I picked out the Saint Patrick's Day Sticker Kit, Planner Stickers which I really like a lot!

The last thing I share is a package that had just came in from Cute Things From Japan on Etsy. I loved everything I got! This was a Midori order where I got some travel stickers and washi tape and a few new Midori Stamps. These are totally a favorite for me out of everything I purchased.
I have some other planner videos coming you way in the next few weeks. I want to share some of my favorites before taking you through my 2016 setup. I get a lot of questions about my planner and before they start rolling in, I'll do my best to answer them first. :) Thank you for stopping by. I would love to know what you're favorite etsy shops if you care like sharing! I'll be back sometime later tonight with a new Tuesday Truths blog post! Be sure to come back and check it out!

What's Cookin' | Our Daily Meals | VIDEO

Monday, February 8, 2016

Hello friends! I hope your evening is going well. I am back sharing a new food diary of sorts going over our daily meals. I know not everyone likes how we eat or what I cook but I do my best to make my family happy. Could we maybe use a little improvement.....you bet. But my main concern is making a meal that my family can enjoy without spending a lot of time in the kitchen. Here are some of our dinners from this past week. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks so much for stopping by. I hope maybe you got some new dinner ideas for your family with this video. If you have and questions or comments about anything you saw, be sure to let me know! Actually right now dinner is almost done ( beef stew ) and we are just waiting on Scott to get home! In case you haven't checked it out, I posted a new week in review today. I'll see ya tomorrow with a new video and Tuesday Truths. Have a beautiful and blessed night. xx

Week in Review: February 1 - 8, 2016

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Monday. I am back with a quick week in review post sharing how this past week went. Normally I would have a day in the life vlog to include but this past week I just didn't vlog that much. I plan on starting back up today and will probably have one up mid week or next Monday. Today I have been struggling to get myself motivated to get everything accomplished on my to do list. The picture above couldn't be more right on! I have checked all my favorite websites and emails....enjoyed coffee and thought about all I need to get done.

Notes from my Midori:

:: Make sure trash is out
:: Take Chantix
:: Respond to emails
:: Toss laundry around. Fold & put away.
:: Record Sticker Haul
:: Clean out frig
:: Menu plan
:: Update Chalkboard Walls
:: Work on grocery list
:: Edit, save and upload video
:: Call about hotel points
:: Listen to voicemails
:: Start beef stew early this evening.
:: New coat of Sally Hansen Miracle Nail
:: Clean Coopers dishes
:: Get Valentines for Scott and the kids
:: Weekly Cleaning on Wednesday

I have really been loving this notebook for everything. I have been using it for my monthly and daily calendars, my youtube/blog schedule book, and another insert for notes. It's been working so well for me. In the next few weeks I will be taking you though some planner stickers and supplies that I like to use before I share my setup. :) However I do have a video sharing these notebooks in detail right here in case you want a closer look at them.

This past week went pretty good. Besides some online drama, I felt like it was a nice week. The days flew by. I am still wishing for the clocks to change. I don't know about you but I could totally use an extra hour of daylight. I feel like I am still playing catch up on things around the house. I just keep moving forward and maybe one day I will be all caught up. Doubt it! On Thursday Scott was off work. I can pretty much plan on nothing getting done on his days off. We just laid around the house together and enjoyed a day of tv together. It was actually really nice having him home. I might complain about Scott being hyper but we miss him a lot when he's gone. So I try to make the best out of his days off....even if that means it's a day of sleeping in and enjoying netflix. I mean...that really doesn't sound that bad does it?

Another interesting thing that happened this past week was us finally deciding on a March weekend trip to Indiana. Brittany is competing with Cheer-leading and really wants us to be there to watch. I couldn't say no. I was going to go alone but we thought it might just be fun for everyone! Plus I thought it might be nice for Zane to see the area I am wanting to move him to! ( BTW...Brittany is right behind the coach's shoulder...brown hair! )

Besides watching her cheer I plan on seeing our oldest daughter and other family as well. I am sure I can pack a weekend full of things to do easily. I'm starting to figure out the hotel and everything else it takes to make a trip happen. I'm really excited and I hope we have a wonderful time!

The weekend showed up and we pretty much enjoyed it at home. The kids are doing really good with getting along....playing outside....and learning that it's not always up to mom and dad to be the entertainment. It's been fun watching them just be kids. Both seem so happy and free. Saturday we all slept in. Jackson got up at 12pm and was the first up...then me and Zane was last. I guess we all needed some extra hours. I choose to make my bed my little office and worked online re doing the blog design to incorporate a sidebar and some new colors. There are some additional changes as well but I am sure you can see them for yourself. Take a second to scroll all the way down to find everything. I have some links to my favorites below as well. It took a long while to get it changed up but I like the end result and I hope you do too.

Sunday was pretty much the same. We were all lucky to sleep in and woke up feeling rested. Well...actually I woke up tired because Jackson woke up early and was so loud through out the house. I guess Saturday he got all the extra sleep he needed! Scott and I decided to watch some of the Beverly Hills Cop Movies. We watched 2 before the Superbowl and I watched the 3rd when I went to bed. Gosh...so many laughs! I forgot how funny those old movies are.

Also over the weekend I got around to a little shopping. If you haven't seen the haul yet...it's right here. I needed to pick up a few things but I wasn't prepared and will have to go back sometime either Tuesday or Wednesday.  Once the game started on Sunday I got busy making the snacks and a big easy chicken taco dinner that they really seemed to enjoy. The cheese dip/queso made everyone happy! I personally think it was the best part of dinner! Scott and the boys really enjoyed watching the game together. With Zane now living here full time we are getting to experience a lot of 1st with him. This was the first time he has ever watched the Super Bowl with his dad. And Jackson enjoyed it as well. They ate, laughed, drank Cokes and had a boys night! I wish I would have taken more pictures but I was busy trying to get things ready for this week. It was a fun night at home. :)

Here's some inspiration to take with you....

This picture I am printing out and hanging in the house. I need to teach it to my kids and I also need to remember myself. There has been a lot of negative energy floating around making me forget all about manners. I needed the refreshed for sure! I hope you guys have a wonderful week. I will be back later today with a new What's Cookin Video so be sure to come back and check it out! Happy Monday!

Sunday Inspiration | Silence is Key |

Sunday, February 7, 2016

Hello friends! I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday. I bet many of you are starting off the festivites for the Super Bowl tonight. I on the other hand am sitting here still sleepy trying to find my motivation. I thought today I would share another Sunday Inspiration post. It's been a while since I have written one of these posts but I really want to get my normal blogging and youtube schedule back in order. So here we are...on this beautiful Super Bowl Sunday.

I feel like for the past month or so I have been dealing with so much negative stuff. From my neighbors to a strange youtuber....not to mention all the stress of everyday life with a husband and two teenage boys. It's not like I don't have enough on my plate already. And instead of being graceful I have just let it all flow from my mouth. I don't see the point in trying to keep it all a big secret. I would rather be myself and just respond. But while I am busy typing like a maniac and trying to defend myself, I am not hearing God. I am not focusing on really what matters.

For years I have felt the need to stand up for myself. It simply was the way I was raised. Be Strong. Speak up for yourself. Don't take crap off anyone my grandfather use to tell me. And I have done what he has told me so many times in my life. I have stood up when everyone was sitting down to point out something wrong. I have opened my big mouth to defend myself, my family, my friends. I have tried to teach my kids the same thing. I want them to use their voices and not be scared. But there does come to a point when enough is enough. I think right now in all the online crap, it's time to just to keep my mouth shut. I don't want to burden my friends/family/viewers/subscribers with my problems or drama. And for all the past ranting about it....I am sorry. I for some reason just feel the need to stand up and speak out. But a viewer on this video shared her comment that I should kill them with silence. I have thought about this for days now. Should I kill them with silence? Should I not speak out? And after days of pondering those questions my thoughts now are.....it's time to be radar silent on these kind of attacks. No matter whatever I say....there will people who won't believe me and it will only get them going even harder.

I have made peace with not everyone liking me. I really have. I have made peace with people talking crap non stop. Really I have handled it better than most would assume. I can go happily along with my day even after I have read some horrible thing someone said about me. Life goes on. But what I can't do is defend myself day in and day out. When I am in that frame of mind, I am not able to hear Gods message. I know that. I am going to work much harder at keeping my mouth shut and just move on. I have such a beautiful life and that's where I want my energy to go. Time to refocus. The crazy online drama has taken enough of my time already. I hope you follow this blog and my youtube channel because you want to and I am grateful for every comment made on every video and on here. It has truly been a blessing and honor to be a part of this community. I hope to move on to better times and I hope you come with me. ♥  Happy Sunday. Enjoy the Super Bowl!
